I didn't start out successful. No one did. I had the guts to work hard, to keep going even when people doubted me, to persevere through the most competitive platforms, to find my voice in the crowd, to keep my chin up, to smile when it got rough, to learn to enjoy where I was at and not focus on where I wasn't, to become a professional. Makeup was my first love, but it's become so much more than just makeup. It's a lifestyle.

I have always loved experimenting with new looks, with different sides of my personality, exploring all the options. I'm an options gal. Some days it's a nice, soft look with waves and pink, some days it's mysterious purple. There's a look for every occasion, and I want to be the one who has it all.

Some people come up to me and say, "You just take pictures and videos of yourself for a living?" and I say "Yes. Yes I do."

Some people said I couldn't. Some people said I didn't know what I was doing. So what? They probably don't know what they're doing either, and they clearly couldn't see potential when it was staring them in the face. People are going to say, "You can't." You have to be the one to tell yourself "You can, you will." It's very important we all have a little voice inside of us telling us to keep going. We have to keep going, we have to keep pushing boundaries, we have to see how far we can get. Know what you want and go for it, and don't let anyone tell you you're wrong. Being assertive with our goals, with ourselves, with our family, with our relationships, with our pets, with our ducks, frogs, geese, plants, computers, and, most importantly, ourselves, is just so important for living the life YOU want to live, no matter how crazy it sounds. Some people come up to me and say, "You just take pictures and videos of yourself for a living?" and I say "Yes. Yes I do." But it's not just that. I inspire. I give people the confidence to try that blue eyeshadow, to experiment with crazy colors, dramatic looks, different sides of their personalities. I give people a window into freedom, to play and experiment with what they've got, to be comfortable in their own skin, to find THEIR look, not someone else's. Find who YOU are, find your look, and run with it. Then take it all the way to the top.--Demeter

Ok but seriously though...are these people ok? She talks about how people ask her if she knows what she's doing...maybe for good reason? Because I don't think she does? And also the duck thing, does no one else notice the duck thing? Is it taboo? Why does no one talk about it? I wanna know about the duck, like, who is it, why does she have one, why does she keep bringing it up, and why is no one else on here questioning anything?? Demeter's probably going to read this and think that I'm a "hater" or whatever...I'm not trying to be. I'm just confused. Is she responsible enough to have a duck?? Like she's great at...whatever this is, but caring for a high-maintenence animal is hard, and I have 3 dogs so I'd know, and wouldn't the duck get in her makeup?? And make a mess?? I'm just saying.
